My hubby bought the 'rolla new in '04 and I had the tint put on for him 6 months later. The state has been cracking down on inspections more and more and are requiring shops to carry very expensive inspection equipment. Oh and more rules... I had to get rid of my Red Sox license plate holders. (Nothing can be covering any words on a Massachusetts license plate.) Boo.

I have been slightly hassled, but nothing major. I have taken it to a mom and pop shop who passed it anyways with little persuasion. They said, it wasn't that far off; but the state can be a real pain... Good old Massachusetts. I take the tint receipt with me for the inspections, and hubby lets me handle it. (It pays to be a busty blonde)!
What the hell? Where do you live and how insanely do you drive?

You will find me doing "90 in a 65" more often than not, and the only time I've been stopped was in New Hampshire... where the State troopers never even mentioned my tint (actually, he looked through my back windows and started reading the papers I had in my back seat... that's how light 35% is!).

Oh god no. Never been pulled over in the 'rolla yet. Getting an inspection sticker seems to be the issue. I do have a lead foot with the 'rolla, but I know where the cops hide on rt3 and 128 (Near the Mass Pike exits) so I simmer down around those areas. My old Gen 3 Camry was not tinted and well frankly, no cop would bother pull me over it that...(It screams "I behave") unlike the 'rolla S with the tint.

My new purchase, a Barcelona Red 07 SE with tint and the TRD rims on lowering springs...looks like something a cop might have more interest in. No clue what the tint % is on the Camry, but must be legal for the dealership to pass it.

Oh and I live 15 minutes from the Nashua, NH border. I travel rt3. 93 and 128 often.
