5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Just bought Eibach Pro springs for the gen6 camry and I need help installing them. Got all the tools cause my dad's a mechanic but he doesnt approve off tricking out cars so he wont help me =(. If you guys know how to replace my factory springs with these swt new eibachs I just got; much will be appreciated . If I ever get them on, I'll post some pix of my ride. So far its just tinted windows at the moment (35% front/15% rear). Future mods I plan to do are, enkei edr09 rims, black out all emblems, k&n intake (buying if someone has one to sell), i4 trd exhaust (was thinking of getting the v6 but not sure how I would do it without the left hole for the pipe to come out of), and HID lights. Lots of mods but I think I'll get there somehow.
Of course they fit, but the V6 Camry is a heavier car up front. Physics obviously dictates if the same Springs are used in differently massed vehicles, the drop will be different.
yes those springs will work but the drop will be uneven

Mods: Borla Dual Exhaust with no resonator, K&N Intake, 5k HID headlights and 5k HID foglights, LED Tail lights, Complete interior leds, Ultra Racing Front Strut Bar, Ultra Racing 19mm rear sway bar, 20% tint, Rosen navigation system, 19 inch ASA GT1 wheels
soo.. im SOL, lol. how uneven is the drop? Would it look a lot off? Not sure why they would sell these springs for i4s if the drop would be uneven. If theres no solution, I'll probably end up selling it...

Don't worry - some people like to panic here. Search for a couple TN members with I4 and TRD/Eibach and you will see. Lammydi, Trojan...some of the best members here sport I4's with these springs.
(in my opinion the sagging with TRD is overhyped and people here just jump on hit w/o even having them or any other lowering springs)
Anyways, back on topic for the OP's original question.
It's not all that hard to do. Just need a few sockets with a torque wrench, maybe a breaker bar. Some PB Blaster and white grease. Also make sure to have some hex keys for the sway bar end links. Have some jacks and jack stands. Get a strut compressor rented. Find a friend or two, and your set.
I quickly looked through my alldata and could only find a picture of the front suspension, but fairly self explanatory and similar to the rear. For the rear, you have to access the upper strut mounts through the back seats, might have to take them off, I had to for my SE. Torque specs should be the same for the rear.
