Automatic light control

Hello everyone,

I have a Camry 2006 XLE V6 and it says on the manual on page 107 that,
"If you feel that the automatic light control comes into operation too early or too late have the sensor adjusted by your Toyota dealer"

I went there and they had no idea what to do, do any of you people know how to make the sensor react faster so that once i get into a tunnel after like 2-3 seconds the light will come on? Thanks in advance

Go back there and show them the manual. If they say they don't know how to do it, talk to the service manager and ask him/her to find out. They are able to change that, along with several other settings(seat belt chime, DRL, etc) with their TechStream unit. Most of the time they are too lazy to do it. Just a FYI, they will charge you half an hr, possibly an hr in labor to do this if they "figure out" how to do it. Not sure if it is worth it to you.

As for DIY, I dont think there is a way.

Don't mind him!

Let me know how it works out for you. I might have my friend do it for free he works at a Toyota dealer but it's a drive for me.
