Gen5 (PIC) Which is the PS "Return Hose"? Brake Flush - 8mm clear tubing?

Sorry about the newbie questions but first time doing a PS fluid flush and brake flush

which tube (larger/lower one OR the smaller/higher one) is the RETURN HOSE to drain the old fluid out into an empty bucket?

and for the brake flush job:
Is a clear tubing of 8mm size the right size for draining out the brake fluid?? since the bolt is 8mm.

thanx

I would say the smaller one. If you notice the bigger hose is at the bottom of the reservoir, which would let the fluid flow easier to the pump. Simply because of gravity. Castrol ATF is perfect.

Can't see your pics.

The high pressure line generally has sections of both rubber and steel.

The lower pressure line would return at a higher point in the reservoir and is generally larger in diameter.

Both are good brands.

Save money. Any brand of DOT III or IV brake fluid is fine.

Dexron III is no longer labeled Dexron III as GM stopped licensing it. Now called ATF fluiid.

Mobil calls it ATF MD-3, less then $3 per quart.

The bottle label will have what the fluid is: as in replaces Dexron III.

^ in the pic, the smaller tube is connected to the reservoir at higher point.

the larger tube is connected to the reservoir at lower point.
