Gen6 Brake dust shields

Do any of you members use brake dust shields between your aftermarket wheels and hubs. I am purchasing 18" TSW Mondellos and was wondering if I should get shields to keep my wheels clean. Would 18" Tundra brake dust shields have the right offset? www.kleenwheels.com Thanx

Those shields make your wheels look like hubcaps.

Agree...Dont know if the Tundra shields would work but Im sure you could find one at a junk yard for cheap. I just keep my wheels clean and give them a good wash inside when rotating.

Gen6

I've never had dusty wheels front or rear with OEM pads in 36,000 miles.....but the shields will look great on your car.

Will these affect the heat dissipation from the brakes?

I've seen those in person and they look like crap. Skip them and just clean your wheels when they get dirty.

dont do it! it will look like hubcaps!

If your rims have a clear, just put a nice coat of wax on them. It will make it easier to wipe them off.

Every week or two just quick wipe the brake dust off! dont let it build up.

The OEM breaks don't make any dust.

I've had plenty of dust accumulate over time in the fronts on my '07.

I drive normal and I have dust on my wheels. Most of it from street dust but I'm sure some must be from the brake pads.

Yeah! Keep it clean until the day I take 'em off your hands.

Hey, the wheel is the moving part of the car and it's outside. So, no matter what you do or put on, it'll still get dirty.
