LED questoin...

Hey All,
I'm back w/another LED question. I just ordered an LED bulb for the dome light in my '05 Camry. I checked on Sylvania's website & they say the bulb # is "DE3022," now, when I tried to put it in, this bulb was too short. What should I do, I'm open for suggestions. Here's the one I got 6-LED Dome Light on V-LED's...bulb #3022. This is one I found afterwards that I think I might order this bulb instead b/c it seems like it might just be longer 12-LED Dome Light on V-LED's....bulb #6411. Could I order the 6411 bulb instead or will that ruin the fuse or something, let me know if anyone has any opinions or suggestions or maybe where I should get it from being that this one isn't going to fit...

So, the first one you bought was too short and was 31 mm long per the url you listed. How long is the original? How long is the 12 led bulb? It doesn't say. Instead of asking us all here if it will work, go out and measure the original and then send a note to the vendor and ask how long the bulbs are that he has. If you are worried that this change will ruin the fuse, then you need assistance from someone with just a slight understanding of electricity.

Thanks for the info, those size #'s refers to the length of the bulb, b/c I just measured the bulb & it's about 38mm long & that's the size of the 6411 bulb, it's right there under the description. All I wanted to know is that can I order that bulb & use it in dome light, if it'll be okay, then I can just go ahead & order it, I just wanted to know if there's gonna b a problem or not.

I can't imagine a problem but I haven't studied the specs so I can't address the amperage draw. LEDs draw very low current, but then you are installing multiple LEDs. How much money are you talking about for this bulb, anyway. A standard bulb goes for around 79 cents. The LED bulb isn't going to put out much more light than the standard bulb unless the amperage is upped substantially, and then you have a wiring issue.

Try using the one you bought by soldering a little jumper wire to the end or similar the span the distance. See what it looks like.

Well, I know that it going to make a substantial difference in the brightness b/c I changed the bulb in the map lights to LED's similar to this & just one of the bulbs is stronger than all three bulbs were before. they look great, this one's all that's left to do.
