Help me solve my LED swap problem =\

So, I'm in the process of bulb swapping on my 07 LE and...

After I replace the right map light, I attempt to turn on my left to compare halogen to LED. The left isn't working anymore... what gives?

I replaced the front passenger side courtesy light and it works, but now the front passenger floor cathode went out, yet the rear is still working (they're spliced together).

Also... my shifter light is out, prior to swapping bulbs.

What gives? Any ideas? Or am I just the unluckiest person ever. I'm going to check fuses tomorrow morning, however shouldn't they all be linked to the same fuse?

fuse. should most likely, 90% be the fuse. i forget if it was in the engine compartment or underneath the steering wheel.

The shifter and the glove box light are wired through the tail light relay, so the tail lights must be on for the 12 volts to get there. Test it, go to manual tail light mode and see..........

It still boggles me why only 1 of the map lights would work. It would seem to be that they would be linked.

The map lights are linked to a common power source and return. The regular bulb may have just gone bad or is loose in the socket. You really need to have a voltmeter and an ohm meter to check for power and continuity.

the fuse is in the engine compartment

I'm guessing that maybe I caused the wires in the socket to become loose when I popped the OEM bulb out.
