My 02' camry just had a brake job after 110K miles on the front wheels, and now the has started to vibrate under braking agian like it did before I had the brakes done. My mecahnic says "they all do it" however im afraid its going to shake something loose or worse. Thanks for the advice

What was done on the brake job?

Were the lugnuts put on with an impact wrench?

How many miles since the work was done?

Replace front rotors, brake pads, drain and flush old brake fluid, add new brake fluid, bleed air out of brake lines. mount wheels back on to car and I dont know if they used a impact wrench. that was about 5-10K miles ago. The car is a daily driver, the original brakes lasted about 100K miles and it also vibrated under braking like is does now.

Lousy new rotors or just turned old rotors...wouldn't be the first time.

Excessive/inconsistent lug nut torque..........

Heavy braking.........

A combination of all 3......

Is there a better aftermarket brand of rotors avalible? because the OEM rotors warped also. IIRC the mecahnic used OEM toyota rotors. Thanks for the reply

imgaine a record that is warped...you cannot see it being warped So you only can feel the it being warped when driving..

They don't all do it. That statement alone shows your mechanic lacks credibility. Your car didn't do it when it was new. 5000-10000 miles after a brake job, this should be something the mechanic should handle under warranty. What kind of a warranty did he give you?

my car doesnt vibrate even from 120 down to 80 but it sure does fade... haha i usually replace my rotors**** every 75k miles which means my camry is due up!

and yah when rotors get to skinny the vents and the metal at which the pad and rotor surface get too close and this can cause vibration and EXTRA heat build up!!! this affecting braking performance... or so i comprehend from doing brakes in my drive way

Unless it's a wheel bearing problem.

I recall reading Toyota TSB on these rotors warping. They were replaced with updated rotors free while under warranty. These brakes are probably under designed.

I'd get Brembo or Raybestos Advanced Technology rotors. Use Akebono ProAct pads (FF friction coefficient vs the Toyota's cheaper Akebono's EE rating).
