Found a place that does it for $300 plus $60 to $80 dollars for alignment. Is that a good rate?

How low?

Dealership installed TRD springs for around $200 + cost of springs (total was $430 something).

No alignment is needed.

This was just for the springs. If Toyota does them that cheap I'll do it there for sure but I doubt they will :S

1. find a friend who wants to help out
2. get access to an good torque gun (or you can use hand tools LOL)
3. rent a set of spring compressors from AutoZone
4. Set aside a couple of hours of free time in your garage

Save your money and do it yourself. Unless you like forking over hundreds of dollars for no good reason.

I would but I dont want to take a chance in screwing it up and if I do and cannot go to work I loose the amount it costs to install professionally everyday. Then I'll be kicking myself in the ass for not doing it professionally.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist or even an ASE certified mechanic to lower a car. If you can remember lefty loosy righty tighty and can remember to put things back together you can lower a car.

Search for a DIY. There has to be a few around here. Or whatever...it's your time and money.

I will have to talk to Toyota tomorrow because I thought it would be around 700 installed with Toyota. The only reason I am hesitant of the TRD springs is because of the uneven look with the I4.

its like this, if you measure the wheel gaps you'll going to get 2 fingers in front and i think 1 finger at the rear but if you look at the side of your car its staight. if you put spacer at the rear you will get 2 fingers at the front and 2-2 1/4 at the rear and if you look at it on the side the front is lower than the rear now.
