Tire size

I've tried searching, maybe I'm just not as good with this computer stuff as I thought. I just bought an 07 Camry and am going to put 18s on it next week. I have noticed that most people go with 225/45R18s. If I am not mistaken Toyota had the option of 235/45R17 on some of the cars. My plan was to get 18x8s with 245/45R18. In my 11 years working in the automotive field, I have never seen a car that couldn't go another 10mm wider on the tires from the factory. However, I'm not about to spend $1500 on tires, rims, TPMS sensors and mounting to find out that 245s are too wide. So... what do you guys think?

+1 on the offset.
Even of the offset is in safe range of +38 to +45 offset, I still don't recommend put on 245-45-18. If you want to go wide then go with 255-40-18. I had that for the HR5 rims in the rear. I like that a lot.
