I use 3300K MTEC H11 bulbs for my fogs. I don't think I have less or more light output, but I like the slight yellowness of the MTEC bulbs instead of the whiter OEM bulbs.

I once ran 2500K Nokya H11 bulbs in there. Those were really yellow and much brighter, but apparently despite the package claiming 55W, they really sucked more power (and thus more light output). I pulled those out before my connectors and harness melted...

^ sorry for not being more clear.

i meant the foglight housing itself. not the bulbs.

trd-vvti tried the aftermarket and replace it with oem. he said it was noticeable and the light output are much brighter that the aftermarket. i'm still thinking if im going to replace mine with oem but my HID are bright already. you can't see the fog light output down the road anymore lol.

I don't have a Gen5, but on my Gen6, I had both the OEMs and eBay ones, and I can really tell the difference.

OEM is more solid and perfectly built while the eBay ones are kind of crappy.

The lens, the reflector, the bulb sockets, and the aimer, heck the whole thing is different like day and night.

There is a reason why OEM costs more than the eBay or any aftermarket.

If you only want the look, then I guess it's OK to get the aftermarket ones, but if you really wanna use it, I would recommend the OEM ones.

i have a camry 2003 SE that came with OEM foglight, and stock headlights and i can see the difference when i turn on and off the foglight, it light the foreground more.

then i also have a 2002 LE, with aftermarket foglight, i can't tell if it is on or off at night, very possible my LS430 retro, amazingly wide, over shadows my foglight, or due to poor performance aftermarket foglight.
