I was wanting to upgrade my cloth seats to leather but was wondering what other item is leather when you get it out of the factory?
Also I was told by the parts dept that it was 235 for the front and 235 for the back just for the leather seat covers. Are seat covers the same thing as what you get from the factory or are they those things that you slip on top of your seat and tie on the bottom etc?

Thank ya.
I think it will look ugly. So Toyota actually sells leather seat covers. Besides it wont match your cloth door panel.
If I understand your question correctly, you are not truly upgrading to leather seats, but want to buy leather seat covers.
You said "Are these the same as you get from factory?" Do you mean are these seat covers the same as the factory leather seats. If that is your question, of course not, you are not even comparing the same thing. Leather seat COVERS and Leather seats are two different things.
Idk how much install is but the quote was 235 for front and 235 for back from the "overpriced" toyota dealership. Please take pics. I would really like to see thsi.
you could probably find an aftermarket leather/seat place to do it better and maybe even cheaper than what Toyota is offering

katzkin sets start at $980 retail, dealers can get better pricing. I got one for $700 for another car (2 front seats, 1 rear bench. 2 color with perforated inlet) at the dealer. Much better than seat covers and even better leather than OEM.
