2009 Upcoming Mods - Tell us what you have up your sleeves
With the weather getting warmer and nicer out, we all know everyone will have mods...and teasers. So what do you have up your sleeves for your Camry?
For me:
1. debadge - DONE
2. new brighter reverse led lights - DONE
3. weathertech floorliner - DONE
4. swapped rear reading light to LED - FINALLY DONE! thanks SEASPRO
5. front white/amber switchback led turn signal
6. rear amber turn signal
7. white led steering wheel mod
Thats all I can think of now. No major mods...just minor cosmetic changes.
1. Tein or H&R lowering springs
2. LED replacement bulbs for turn signals and brake lights
3. Carbon fiber hood?
4. Carbon fiber dash overlays (not the whole kit, just a few strategic pieces)
How did you add rear map lights to your car. Do you have a DIY and parts list handy?
Thanks
I had help but pull it down from the headliner (requires some muscle). Once you have it down, take a flathead screwdriver and start lifting up the tab. Enough that it detaches and work your way around on both sides. Once all clips are detached, swap bulbs. and put it all back.
Parts list:
1. Muscle
2. (2) 194 led bulbs
3. flathead screwdriver
4. patience.

Not sure if you know but you'll need 2 load resistors (1 for each side) which also requires you to cut into the factory wires.
If you just insert a LED bulb, you'll hyper flash.
Oh, I thought you installed map lights where no map lights existed before.

Oh no. I have SE with sunroof so there are a set of lights above the backseats. I couldnt figure out how to gain access to the bulbs for the life of me. I broke one clip on it already and gave up until SEASPRO came over and helped me. Updated first post for better clarification.
switch interior to LEDs: started and so far have the dome light in front done but will do rest once i have a bit more spare cash since i'm doing my and my father's car at same time.
switch license plate lights to LEDs: done but changing soon to brighter ones
get rx330 afs retrofit done: gonna start once i get some spare headlights(really want some SEs headlights so thats why still haven't done this)
switch out grille to SE grille or hybrid grille
switch shifter knob to one from 09 rav4 v6 sport special appearance package one
switch out the window controls to all auto ones from 2010 camry
Well my next mod was trunk light but since that is done I will be doing red cathodes on my rear seats. After that maybe a map light that doesnt exist between my other map lights because Toyota thinks if I dont have a sunroof I can see at night better!
Hey where did you get brighter reverse lights I need that since I can't see very well at night because of my new tint..lol I can't see that tree and one of these days I could hit it lol.

Not brighter as in, I can see behind me brighter. Brighter as in what I had before. The LED reverse I had before was barely visible during the day. The one I have now is visible but cost more even though I lost money on my original one. Sold it for a lot cheaper than what I paid. I felt like I got ripped off for the price that I paid for them. Oh well.
I'm thinking of going even brighter. Right now I have 27smt led reverse bulb. I'm thinking of going 37smt. Thats 37 little smt leds!!
Tein SS coilovers
New wheels
HKS Hi-Power axlebacks
Delete resonator in exhaust
Replace stock cat with high-flo cat
UR rear sway bar
CF Hood
Roof Spoiler
Interior CF trim with CF fabric that I already have
Tons to dooo.
