New LED Tail lights (2010?)

YO YO What's up all, not sure if anyone remembers me but I'm back around the way again. Went through some terrible personal issues, but like all things time heals all. Anyways, so I've searched (before the search nazi's chime in) and didn't come up with any solid results regarding the new 2010 (I'm guessing) camry's with the LED tail lights. Can we fit these on our 2007's?

Shouts to anyone that is still around or remembers me from some time in 2008 lol. Glad to see the forums are still even around.

If this is a repost (which it probably is) can you direct me to the thread so I can do some homework.

It looks to be a direct fit, but nobody has tried it before.

but judging carefully purely based upon appearance, should be a direct fit.

No group buy or will there ever be any. If you want it, you pay whatever Toyota is selling them for. Or like you said, junkyard.

I believe Netforcer might be doing it (I could be wrong and he's only doing the front). I know he's putting 2010 front on his 2008 (or 2007) since he hit a deer and damaged the front.

I have been wanting to do this one. Have called up a couple of dealerships and received prices from $650 all the way up to $780 for the set of 4.

wait a bit and u will see some good replicas for a much cheeper price. i would get the ebay ones from eagle eyes anyway as i think they look better. AFAIK the new ones are exact match. if i get some time i'll go pop the trunk liner off a 2010 at the dealership one day and will look myself. i might go for 2010 hybrid ones so should find out then too.

More than likely, there will be no aftermarket taillights for tails that are already LED. Just look at other cars with LED tail lights that come straight from the factory. You dont see aftermarket versions of them. The only aftermarkets you'll see are LED tails for cars that dont come with tails from the factory.

your right but there are replica headlights and tail lights for our camry so we will probably have same for 2010. i'm sure very soon i'll see some 2010 headlights available at the local POY auto parts. who knows though. like i said i think the aftermarket look better anyway.

Some of the purist here would say OEM > aftermarket but that's just my guess. For me, eagle eyes or saber sports for whatever reasons don't compare to an OEM LED tail lights on the 2010. And i'm sure most noticed that the clear strip is switched down below compared to the older model which places it above.

Good to be back and seeing all you regulars still at it with your cams

Replicas? As in what came with the car? No and highly doubt it. If you search eBay or online, you'll see that all aftermarket taillights for 2007-2009 are LEDs. You will not find an aftermarket that is the same as OEM that takes filament bulb.

Headlights? You probably wont find an exact duplicate of it. All the ones on eBay are either black housings and/or have CCFL Halo built into it. I mentioned this all before.

Now that the 2010 already comes with LED, what is there to change? Again, its not cost effective to release the same exact duplicate when their product is not the same quality as OEM. Actually, now that I think of it, there may be a slight chance that there will be a 2010 look. All they have to do is take the current LEDs that is there and change swap the colors (red on top and clear at bottom). All they are doing is swapping the color on the housing.

Like all products, OEM is better than aftermarket but when there is no OEM support or product, we have to settle for aftermarket. Hence, the price...OEM is $650+ and aftermarket is about $270. To clarify, SaberSport is the seller. Eagle Eyes is the company that makes the products.

I have no complaints with my taillights except for a little fitment issues. Others who own the LED taillights will say the same. So as long it works and there is no problems, I have no complaints. My taillights are as flush as it can be with a little modding to it.

my local POY has both replica headlights and tail lights and they are almost same quality as oem. i know someone who bought a mirror from there for their 09 LE and it was exact same quality as original. i know we all want oem and if i do get 2010 hybrid tails then i will go oem but i'm just throwing out a option for everyone.
