2007 SE 4 cyl with PS leak...

I have a 2007 SE 4cyl with 50k miles on it. About 2 weeks ago I started noticing a growl in the power steering at low speed. I didn't have a chance to check it and it's gotten worse. Last night I finally got a chance to look at the fluid level and the reservoir was almost completely dry... I took it to the dealer to look at this morning and they still have it but haven't called me back. Has this happened to anyone else?

not me, i'm only at about 34K on my 07 SE. I was gonna say if it's still cover under warranty they'll fix it at no cost, but at this point i'm not sure.

They just called and said its the rack and pinion leaking at the boot. It is covered under the extended warranty I bought when I got the car and they are paying for a rental while the warranty company has an assessor come out to look (apparently it's a $1400 job)

Thats what they're saying and the adjuster came out today and looked at it and agreed so now I wait. Looks like it will be Tuesday or Wednesday because they have to order the part and its a holiday weekend...
