5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I have the toyo on my se and so far have liked them. Not too much road noise and decent grip when needed. I live in Southern California so you might need different tires if you have to deal with snow or more rain. For me they have worked well in rainy conditions. As far as sizing I would stay with the stock size because if you change the size than you are going to mess with your odometer not reading your correct speed and milage.

I put on Toyo Versado LX tires on my 17" SE rims. They are such a tremendous step up from the Michelins that my car came with!
The Toyo tires offer much higher grip (especially in wet) and they are quieter, too. I would HIGHLY recommend these tires as a replacement for the Michelins.

There are a bunch of threads about tires, you might want to try a search. My personal preference lately has been the Falken brand because they seem to have great performance and decent longevity. They are a bit noisy compared to the stock Toyos though.

You beat me to it!
We got the toyo versado's when they first came out! they weren't even advertised on the toyo website at the time.
They definitely are quieter than the stock michelins, and i've noticed they have alot more grip when its wet out, the stock michelins would spin so easy.
I think the tires are advertised as a "luxury touring" tire so that might be why its nice and quiet
After doing some research it came down to the Michelin Primacy and the Bridgestone Serenity for me. My main criteria were good ride, low noise and good wet weather handling. In the end I picked the Serenity since it had a AA traction rating and good 50K mile wear warranty. Well, after 5K miles I can say it has met my expectations, especially in the rain, high standing water etc, rock solid! It was slightly more $ than the Primacy but no regrets!
Thanks for the responses so far. In doing some research the Toyos really piqued my interest. Seeing that a couple of fellow Ontarians recommend them they are now at the top of the list. The Bridgestone Serenitys and Goodyear Eagle ResponsEdge also looked to fit the bill. I am looking for a tire that offers superior traction (especially in wet) and quietter ride.
