Canada 2010 camry

Hidy Ho all,

I just need to say well guess I did that!

Just got a 2010 6 speed SE 2.5; I have to start by saying. Wow what a car. I have been watching all you Toyota drivers running around and always being happy. Now I know why.

Toyota has some strange happenings though. They are trying to charge almost 300 CDN for an adapter for the Ipod and yet my Ipod just plugs in and runs (the adapter that came with my Ipod). Yet my hard drive is not recognized. Will not power on.

I think it is a bit of a joke calling this a 2010 maybe it should have been called a 2009.5? A growl that I could not get heated seats with the manual and leather. I love my manuals, sorry folks. Speaking of manual, 6 gears, 6 and what a difference that is! This tranny makes a 4 cyl. more than, well you know.

Now having said all that, after being a long time German car peep. I have to say this is superb. The electric steering has very muted feedback. But after just 500km in this car I am feeling everything I need to feel. I get it through the seat, and body.

An if anyone can explain to me how to program that darn radio I would be very appreciative (Yes I know read the darn book).

Oh and it is Black with leather black interior.

Happy motoring all.

hmm maybe i should give everyone a preview then. the dealership i got my car at had 2 se 2010s. one blue 2.5 and one black v6. sorry to thread jack but this should save u from having to get pics up within the next few hours. also gives me a chance to post these without making a new thread:

btw: the new SE grille feels really cheep (flexes very easily compared to the sturdier 09 SE one) and the design of the mesh is 95% like the corolla.

I don't like the 07-09 SE mesh design (small opening), but I much prefer this new one... and it matches the undergrille too.

Just make sure you don't get a black car, and it would look superb I'm sure.

like i said. i like the 09 better because this one is so like the corolla and if u felt how cheep the 2010 one was then u would agree. not saying the 09 is perfect but the 09 one bc the mesh is different feels more resistant to some force. the 2010 the holes between the mesh are larger so thats why it gives you the feel of cheepness. nothing is wrong with it and i really like the 2010 design but the more i look at the 09 the more i feel like the 2009 camrys are built like a lexus/acura and the 2010 is more toyota like. for example, u can easily mistake our 09s for a lexus or acura while the 2010 it would be much harder to make this mistake. so i guess u can say the camry is easier to find in a sea of cars but u'll mistake it for a corolla numerous times.

the blue looked good but i still was leaning towards 09 as there was a 09 right in front of the blue 2010.

what i would of loved to be done is to remove the slot that goes down on the 2010 grille and leave the current mesh, remove the dip down on the headlights and make the bottom line straight like in 2009, and thats it. the dark chrome of the 2010 headlights stands out much more than the 2010.

09 SE is perfect.

I like the 09 SE's honey-comb grille better, or whatever it is called.

Canada Well you know

Maybe some find it cheap (new stlye), but after my German car this does not seam cheap, oh and I am trying to keep it down (pushing on the pedal), but of course I have to vary my speed. Well today I chirped the tires going into second and the traction control went on. I am not into speed but the 6 speed with 180 hp seems more than enough with me pics coming soon, and the black one posted on this thread is just like mine.

Couple of questions -
  1. Were those pedal covers 'extra', or are they 'standard' with the SE package? They look nice.
  2. Ditto on the mats - like the contrasting stitching; makes for a nice look.
  3. Other posters indicated that the 'garage door' in the center console had a 'cheapened' lid - does it still open with a 'click-on, click-open' action, or???
  4. Is the dual tip 'standard' on the SE, or is it an add-on. The Toyota site isn't too clear on this...
Nice looking car - enjoy.
