Define 'bouncy'. A lowered suspension will certainly make for less compliance and travel. To keep off the jounce stops and keep some semblance of a decent ride, you'd better get shocks valved to match the new spring rates. The really nasty ride is typically a result of bad/inappropriate to the spring shocks, and frequent visits to the bottom of the strut travel.
As to install - if you don't have experience removing struts and springs, it's best to 'farm out' the work - the life you save may be your own. Having a spring pop loose can easily do major damage. The basic process is to remove the struts, compress the spring, remove the top bearing on the strut assembly, and release the spring slowly. Installation involves compressing the new spring, attaching the top bearing, and installing in the car. Suspension alignment is necessary afterward.
