How much should I pay for sound proof job

Hi,

I found one auto audio shop around my area that do the sound proof job. And, I ask them to do the whole floor they tell me it may take one full day to install, cost me $600 to finish it. This is material they using Dynaliner (http://www.dynamat.com/products_auto...dynaliner.html)
I want to ask is the price a reasonable from you guy experience, and necessary to take a one full day to remove the seat and carpet to install?

Thank!

How many layers are they putting on? I would say with materials and labor, that sounds about right. It is a chore to take out all the seats and carpet, lay out the dampener and reinstall everything.

May I ask if there is a reason you feel that you need mroe sound dampening? Are you planning to run a high end sound system and need to dampen the noise?

Or are you just looking to eliminate even more road noise, as the Camrys are fairly quiet already.

But nonetheless, it will take a good amount of labor to remove everything to dampen the floors, are you looking to do the doors and trunks too? How about the firewall or rear deck?

Most of the noise in my car is from tires. If I had the funds, I'd consider doing it as well.

you can DIY, just buy a sound deadening material for $200-300.
