Has anyone installed ambient lighting in their car? Im looking for a single LED light in the overhead to put some dim illumination on the center console. My Accord has it and I would like to have the same in my Camry.

No one said its great, just a matter of preference. I like a little light on my cupholder area so I can see something without turning on my dome or reading lights.
what year is your camry?
what model? (sunroofed SE is different)
If its what I'm thinking, you need a festoon bulb.
and finally, search. This topic has been exhausted many times...
I did a search and thats why im asking here...guess I didnt use the right word. I dont want to replace a dome or reading light, just want a very small amount to be on my center console to see without my dome or reading lights being on. I drive alot and would find this useful.

Go to http://www.oznium.com/leds and buy a small 3mm or 5mm LED and have it tapped into the shifter and add a switch. You'll probably have to drill to make it clean and flush. So at night, when you need to see it, just flip the switch. Obviously you wont need to use it during the day so whenever the headlights are on, shifter lights are on. When shifter lights are on, theres power.

When I post a pic it always has this extra [IMG] code lol. ok I updated the codes.
and for DIY sorry man, I didn't do DIY. But its really easy.
Maybe whenever you're grabbing the link to the image, it already has the [IMG] tag and when you go and add the image, you click on the INSERT IMAGE button.
What did you tap into to power the LEDs? I think thats what people would need to know since we all know that a hole will need to be drilled for the LEDs.
