Question DIY Noob Question -- Panel removal tool necessary?

I've been reading about iPod integration and also back up cameras, and I am starting to get brave (or foolish) enough to think I can do this myself. One question, though: do I need special trim/panel removal tools to pull the various trim pieces? The numerous threads on these subjects simply say to "remove" this piece or "pull" that piece, but it's unclear to me whether you can literally just pull these pieces out or whether you need a tool to get in and depresss the clips that hold them in place. Sorry for the simpleton question, but, hey, you gotta start somewhere.

I'm Jed, by the way, and I'm in SoCal. My ride is an '09 TCH.

Cheers!

Welcome.

No tool needed. Just pull. It will unclip from its place.

Try to pull evenly so that you don't break anything.

It depends ... Most trim along both side u can pull right out. Center console, dash trim, sun visors ... will have screws of different size hiding underneed.
