So I have had this for a while but im just wondered who else, if anyone, when they get on it in first gear feels the like forcing of the shifter into second gear when you shift... or am i the only one... like it almost pops out and into second when i shift and i feel like it makes for a rough shift... let me know
Yeah mine used to do the same thing. It used to jump out of first gear.
It hasn't done it in a while though..i went to the dealer but they couldn't make it happen again and i didn't have time that day because i would have stayed there until they fixed it. But it's been a while since the last time.
look up the tsb on this forum and print out the paper and tell them its a problem TSB 2007 Camry Listing with PDFS!
used to have the same problem but mine was going around 40-50mph
There is no TSB for that. It's not a trany flare. I had the calibration done and it's not that, because it still did it. And only the I4 has a 5spd manual.
i was gunna say i couldnt find the TSB for it... but i dont think it is hurting the tranny so im not really worried about it... i will bring it up to them when i go and have it serviced and see what they can do for it

Yeah pretty high... i was driving around tonight and would shift about 3 grand from take off and nothing. But when im getting around 4 and 1/2 to 5 getting on it from a light or something it does it
I think I understand. On my gen 5 when I lean on first gear (out to 4k-ish), it will make a clunking noise from the shifter as i shift it into second, as if the transmission is pushing it out of gear. It never actually pops out of gear, just the shift is a bit clunky. Lately I've not really noticed it clunking, I'm not really sure what I'm doing differently but I think if you take the first to second shift a bit more smoothly (make sure you're off the throttle before pushing the clutch) it doesn't clunk. All of the other shifts are fine.
I suspect first is quite low and that there is a fair gap to second, as first will easily get the wheels spinning/ axle tramping making it difficult to drive it smooth, even in the dry. (Before anyone asks I have good Michelin tyres with lots of tread). Possibly the big loading in first makes the shift clunky.

This is exactly whats happening... like i said i havent noticed it that much as of recent i think maybe due to the warmer weather because I do notice that it gets a little more frequent in the winter time
