Gen5 modified_camry's moddin thread!

ok guys, i did most of this stuff before i was a member here, so nobody can say i was coppin Nick D's style....

lol

---------------------------------------------------------

The back story....
My parents got divorced in 04, my dad bought this, brand new.

then he put the rims on it in 08...

he put smaller tires on it with the new 17's but not small enough... so, the tires rubbed..
so he added a trd rear sway bar.

My dad, who has been a police officer in arlington for 30 years, retired, and bought this-

He had an original 1969 Charger Daytona (hemi orange) when i was born, and sold it. He was looking for new cars and saw this one and couldn't resist.

Anyways, the tires still rubbed and so he took it back to discount tire and they put the Falkens that are on there now for free.

I got this one, and the customization began. First thing i did was paint the grille.

Then, i painted the header cover red.

Then, i debadged it and painted the chrome molding and the last logo black.

When i went over to my friends house that day, i backed into his moms saturn. pwned. cracked my passenger taillight. Bought a new one from certifit, and installed and bought a can of the DIY black out stuff, and smoked them a little bit...

I also put some cheap Xenon bulbs off ebay in it... not bad actually...

After that, i took apart the plastic on the a/c controls and around the radio and painted those black.

And finally, im going to paint all the plastic pieces on the engine white.
i just started with that.

Future Mods-
PAINT SIDE MOLDING BLACK
FINISH ENGINE PAINTING
TRD COLD AIR
APEXI N1
NEW HEADLIGHTS
SE STYLE SPOILER
AND POSSIBLY MORE.. LOL

First of all, you seriously need a drop before Punks sees it, because then he's gonna start crying.

paint the letters on your engine cover! Not really feeling the red cover. I really like the painted moldings!

TOTALLY COPPIN MY STY....Haha, joking! I LOVE seeing work done to Gen 5's!

Definitely get the spoiler first. I got mine off ebay for I think, $110 painted and shipped. It doesn't seem like much, but it changes the entire look of the car.

JFD27, you take the emblems off with fishing line. You just kind of saw them off. I have heard that if you heat them up with a hairdryer it helps melt the glue.
