Gen6 ccfl, neon, or led? footlights~

Hey
I did some light swapping in my car and UAGH i jizz in my pant everytime i see it
but then i saw sean89's footlight, damn looks sexy
So i started looking for some and there is leds, neon and what he uses, ccfl.
From what i heard neon ones break real easy? and does anyone know how i can wire them so they light up when i open the door like the courtesy door lights? or direct me somewhere on tn because i looking and looking and can't seem to find a thread about this, Thanks
