Gen6 Headlight Haze

My sister has a 07 and the headlights are starting to haze with stock bulbs and being outdoors... I know it's natural for headlights haze and can search on how to fix it. If anyone has any input, how long until you noticed your headlights hazing?

I would go to walmart and get Meguires Plastx. Here is a link to read up on.
http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/c...8&kwtid=300425

This product works very well to cleaning oxidized headlights, and scratches etc.

Glenn

Thanks for the info. I was going to plan on getting Meguires to solve the problem.

you'll need to get sand paper and a buffer
start out with 800 grit, wetsand, and move your way up to 2000 grit
get 2500 grit if you can find some

Then use the plast-x and buffer

i just bought some turtle wax headlight refinisher, it looks to be a nice little set up. it has three different emery board type pads along with a spray and compound.
i have heard good things about it, but i may try the plastx on one headlight and see what the difference will be between the two.

Let me know how that works for you. I need to buff mine out a little too.

This Plastix thing...do you need to buff beforehand? I'd rather not engage in any kind of sanding or buffing if possible because I know I always turn out to be rather destructive with sandpaper or a buffing machine in my hand.

I have used 3M 39010 Plastic Polish and a power buffer for a couple of cars with great results. Just be careful with the power buffer and its all good.

I haven't been here long but dude you’re a dick. Why not post a link to the thread that already is covering the topic so we can move the discussion there? Or instead of just posting crap like the above in a ton of threads just move on. Or are you just trying to up your post count and satisfy your feelings of a neglected childhood at the same time?

dont get yourselves worked up about njerald. He does make annoying comments like above and can sometimes get out of hand, but it for good reason. Also, it is not like he doesnt know what he is talking about. He is quite knowledgable when you dont repeat a question that was asked 1343532 times over..
