Gen6 TPM sensor

Hi seniors, I have a 2007 Camry xe and the stock tire is 215/60R16. I would like to change the tire to 225/55R16 as it doesn't appear to be very steady in the wind. I saw from other threads that the TPM(tire pressure monitoring) sensors needed to be reset/changed. May I know why it is so and how can I do it? Thank you in advance.

No, you don't need to reset the sensors, it'll work with the new tires.

The sensor just senses the pressure. So if your new wheel/tires uses the same pressure (very likely) than no need to reset.

When U put in different tire that recommend different pressure. But mostly you don't need to touch it, when warning light is on you just need to check your tires pressure to make sure it's around 32psi. Likely one of the tire's pressure is off too much which trigger the warning light. So just put more air in and the moment it is within the 'ok' psi range the light will go off.

The button is in the glove box compartment. The instructions are also in your owner manual.

Tires won't make much of a difference in your car swaying in the wind

Thank you Paul, how much should I lower the spring, and what brace are you referring to? Or someone please? Thanks in advance.
