Creaking from front end

I have a 07 Camry SE V6. For the last 2 months I've had a creak develop in the front end. It occurs for example during acceleration when the front end raises slight or when going over slower bumps... it seems to be directly connected to the "flexing" of the frame? in the front.

Now I've already searched and did not find neone with a similar complaint/symptom. Can any one advise? My feeling is it might be the sports bar that goes across the top of the suspension?

no -- actually it started creaking one day when i was backed into...it was very minor at 1st now its always... very light minor hit no damage -- less than 5mph. It was/is creaking pre-and-post alignment. I had some front end work done due to a fender bender (strut, LCA, knuckle).

i got a similar issue too. I got a 09 SE 4-Cyl. But i suspect it has to do with the suspension; It may have to do with the springs rubbing against something. I hear it when i get out of the car sometimes.

Ahh Ha!

I figured it out! Its IS my strut bar. Its cracked! But the crack is located on the passenger side near the strut...the bar hides underneath the plastic for the vents... I lifted the plastic off and i saw the 4-5 inch crack... How does this happen? I'll get progressive to cover/replace it under the front end damage the car had. I did not have any frame damage (so they told me) is this a sign that more damage might be present? everything seems to line up right... After i replace it... can i put an aftermarket bar on it too? or do i have to remove the factory...... u might want to look under ur hood (SE-ers) if u want a better grasp... I found the creak b/c i applied pressure with my hand on the strut bar and was able to replicate the sound. Quieter camry days are ahead!!!
