Gen6 Oil Changing question

Ok I am new to changing oil and I would love to start changing my own oil because as so I hear its cheaper to change your oil yourself and since I am a broke college student cheap is a huge key word in my book lol. I now drive a 2007 Toyota Camry XLE V6 and I use to drive a 2007 Toyota Camry SE I4 (long story short some dumb lady hit my beautiful graduation gift, got my mothers XLE, sold the SE, she got a new 09 Altima and now I am driving the XLE. Pretty much a upgrade lol). I am planning on changing my oil tomorrow. I have the right oil and the right amount of quarts for it but I just have a few questions to ask. Like which side is my oil pan because I do not want to get it confused with my Transmission pan because that would suck! I do not really know which type of oil filter to get. The final question should I just go take it in and get it changed rather than me doing it. Pretty much is it a good idea or not... (Oh wow I have not been here for so long I just now noticed my sig... good times...)

Buy an OEM Toyota filter. Also, it is stated in you owner's manual how many quarts of oil is needed. Download the manual from: http://www.camrystuff.com/

-or-

look online at your local dealership's website, sometimes they have coupons for this type of service.

Good luck!

oil pan is on the left side, it the one with the 14mm screw, the tranny use hex. shouldn't be that hard.

As for cheaper doing itself. it depend on what type of oil and filter you buy, Some place will charge about 20 dollar.

I brought a ten pack of oem toyota oil filter online for 40dollar. Lucky my 98 tacoma, 1993 lexus LS and 03 camry use the same one.
