Hey everybody...
I have a question. It came w/the AM/FM CD combo in my '05 Camry LE. Now, I want to get the AM/FM 6-CD Changer/Cassette combo. But that usually is a JBL unit, my question is could I put that into my '05 Camry? My other option is a AM/FM Single CD/Cassette combo that they had available. They have this one AM/FM Single CD/Cassette combo that has a hole drilled right next to the Cassette Player & they have an Aux cable built-into it. I wanna know which one you think I should get, I'm really leaning for the AM/FM 6-CD/Cassette combo if that will fit, what do all of you think?
is your current unit a JBL unit? I am assuming not. Therefore, that rules out all of the JBL units. I believe that the 6cd changer units are JBL but I am not sure.
I have a AM/FM single cd/cassette JBL unit that I am selling if you are interested

Well, no it didn't w/a JBL unit, so I guess that rules you'rs out too...lol

I would love to, but honestly, I'd really like to keep the stock look as much as possible...
I have another question, I have the steering mounted controls on mine, I noticed this one that I saw is missing a set of pins in the back, does anyone know off the top of thier head, if that's the plug for the steering mounted controls...
The '05 Camry radio back...
Now, the middle plug is missing on the AM/FM CD/Cassette that I wanna get. Does that matter, or is that the one for the steering wheel mounted control?
This would work...Toyota Camry AM/FM CD/Cassette Combo...right. This one has that missing plug I was talking about, although when I opened mine, there was nothing plugged into it.

Correct the JBL is the 6 disc in-dash changer. I don't even use mine anymore....lol Sat. radio has taken over!

You're probably right. I would imagine that missing plug is for the steering wheel controls - something I am not willing to lose.
I wouldn't mind an OEM 6-disc CD changer unit too. In lieu of that though I'm planning on adding an AUX jack to my factory stereo.

Well, I took apart the interior, to look @ the wires in the back & it turns out there is one plug in the back that is unaccounted for. It's just there, so I think that the remote will still work
Okay, so I found a nice AM/FM Cassette/CD for $60. It's in MINT condition, but take a look @ the quote I put on the bottom, that's the exact quote from the person who put the item up. Is it true, would I loose my steering-mounted controls? I mean, I figured that if it's the same plugs in the back, but I think I'm going to need to re-wire it b/c the pin of the left is different from what I can see.

Application Note: This is plug and play for 2002-2004 Camrys. Please also read the internal amp note below. For 2005 and newer, Camry no longer makes the cassette option AND they changed the rear plug configuration for the 6 CD changer and steering wheel controls. So this will work in 2005 – 2006, but you will lose your steering wheel control capability AND your 6 CD changer control capability. But at least you will get a cd AND cassette player! It is up to you.
This radio uses an INTERNAL amp, which means it can work with Camrys that use either an Internal amp OR External Amp. Some Camry radios on Ebay do NOT have the Internal amp included, while this model works with both internal and external amp series. IF YOUR PLUGS MATCH, THEN YOU HAVE THE INTERNAL AMP SYSTEM AND THIS IS PERFECT FOR YOU!! If you have any questions, simply contact me and I will tell you what I know!
If you're ready to ditch your head unit, I seriously encourage you to explore aftermarket options. They often offer many more features for the price. If not then get the 6CD changer head unit.

Hey everyone,
I found this...AUX cable hook-up. Basically, this plugs straight into the back of the radio, it looks like it will go straight into that cable that I said was unaccounted for. Now, I have a little 4gb Coby MP3 player & I have the USB cable for it but I'm not sure if I could use that instead of an iPod. Does anyone know what this will repace? I mean my radio has the buttons for AM, FM1, FM2 & CD, will it replace my CD player or my FM or my AM? This is what the person from the auction told me Let me know.

It replaces your external cd changer you will not lose the built in cd or fm/am stations
And yes you can use it with any device that will accept a 3.5mm headphone jack
