Largest Wheels for a 02 LE?

Hey guys! It's been a while since I've been on here. But by the end of the summer, I should have aroun $1200-1500 to play around with and would like to buy a new set of rims/tires for my 02 Camry LE. My question is how big can I go as far as the actual rims and tires go? I would like to run a 19x8.5(that's the only width the rim I like comes made in), but I'm worried that that extra inch of width might pose as a problem for rubbing. Also, I do not know what kind of a tire I could run on it. I was looking around and there was an individual who was running on 215/35 tires and said there was enough sidewall area to absorb bumps without damadgin the rim itself from potholes. Can you guys give me some input, advice and recomendations as well? Thanks!

i have see a couple of guy running 20 inch wheel. What is the offset of your wheel.

For me, I have 18x8.5 offset 35 wheel and my car is lower, i rub so i rolled my fender.

The diameter size of the rims (16,17,18,19,20) doesn't matter as far as fitment goes. It is the width and the offset that matter. Then you can add on the tire size of width and sidewall to make sure it looks as flush as possible without rubbing. Then the weight that is on your car also important factor. For example: you may not rub drive by yourself but might rub with fully loaded of 4 people or the weight of your sub woofer.

punks i might be at that meet.. MIGHT but i will probably have one of the other cars seeing as the camry's power level in the 4 cylinder doesn't satisfy my highway driving needs... HIGHJACKED HARDXCORE

sorry yah basically offset matters and so does rim width i will basically add on to what everyone said north of me... but remember... if you really like the rim you can always do other things to make it fit...

spacers.. roll fenders... blahh

Wait are you sure that your true offset? Don't get me wrong now i trust you on the rim spec but if your running on spacer then that not your true offset.

I know my wheels man....and that is the true offset of the rim. If i was using spacers i would have said so.
