Gen6 Rear parking sensors work intermittently

Dear seniors, I haven't been driving my camry for 2 months. I recently noticed that the rear parking sensors only work intermittently, I did shift to R. I also noticed the sensors will work if I first hear a "Ping Ping" sound when I shift to R. If no "Ping Ping" sound, the sensors don't work? Does anyone know is there a simple reason for this? Could it be due to a loose harness? Where should I look for? Is there a fuse for it? Thank you very much in advance.

you have to remember one thing... we in usa don't have this as a option. check the connections. this isnt a fuse but more like connections or some other parts. if anything take it to the dealer.

Thanks. It comes standard, not an option here. I rather it is an option. Now I have to remind myself and my family not to assume there is a sensor on reverse. I will look for the connector. Thank you very much.
