Alignment after drop

i searched and couldn't find anything about it but how important is the alignment you are supposed to get after you install springs? do all 4 wheels have to be aligned? does the camber have to be adjusted in the front or rear for H&R springs? and finally how much should i be looking at paying for the alignment seeing as i haven't had to get one done yet? Thanks

its pretty important to get the alignment done as soon as possible. handling, steering, tire wear are all affected by improper alignment. all 4 wheels should be aligned, camber may or may not be needed to be adjusted... either way it'll be addressed by the alignment place. typical price is about $50 - 70 for a 4 wheel alignment, depending on your area.

yes.. you definately need to get an 4-wheel alignment, and with h&r you shouldn't have to worry about the camber. any decent shop can get the camber into spec just fine. I think NTB charges like 60 bucks or something for an alignment.

beat me to it LE05, good info ftw...TN needs a lot more of it, and a lot less other crap..

most shops shouldn't care...your car won't be slammed, so it won't be an issue. idk what shops are in CT, but any large shop will be a-ok. if you're worried about it, just don't mention that it's lowered..

I had a lifetime alignment thing at Firestone. They fucked up the alignment....I'm only having my local dealer do it now. It's worth the extra $ to have it done right in my case.

you have to take the suspension apart to replace the springs...so the geometry changes.

You have to make sure that they don't just put it to stock specs. After putting my coilovers on i paid $50 no camber adjustment because i need a rear camber kit. Very important to get it as soon as possible. Go to a wheel and tire shop other than town fair tire.

Not by choice......Was my old Camry. My dad gave it to me when he got a newer car. He had the struts replaced at sears and they went bad after 40k miles, and were under warentee. Then they installed the 1 of the mounts wrong and tried to tell me "it probably broke". Yup, the car unscrewed the 3 nuts, and turned the mount 1/3 a turn and screwed itself back.
