Need help and suggestions, body repair?

Hi, I would like to get some suggestions and methods to fix the damage to my car. I'm mechanically inclined and have never done any body repair. I am going to do this myself so I need some advice. Any help or how to guidelines is appreciated. Thanks! I attached pics.

Never done body work?...mechanically inclined?..honestly, take it to a body repair shop or leave it as is. If you've never done any body work, you'll be doing more damage than its there.

+1

The body shop will likely repair it without replacing doors, but it will involve tack welding and Bondo. If you don't weld, you can't do this job. Get it to a guy who does this for a living.

He may want to learn to do it for in the future, but that is a big job right there...i'd get it professionally done for sure.

take it to a shop please.
if you try to fix it, youll make it worse and end up paying even more at a body shop to fix the extra damage you put on it.

Pretty much says it all.

Just slap some touch up paint and call it a day. Sooner or later, that car will be banged to hell. Save the money and put it something more important.

Well, thanks for the info I appreciate the suggestions. I'm more of a DIY type of person so I will do some research before I decided if I should take on the task of repairing it or paying someone else to do it. I'll get some estimates as well and weigh the cost, time, labor, etc.

IDK if you can push that out from the inside of the door. Looks too low for that. I shop is a better idea.

Damn man that is a deep scar... you sure you really wanna try and do it yourself? if you wanna DIY i would suggest you get a new door and do the paint and install yourself because body work is very tough. there is a reason it costs so much when you take it to the pros
