The lower part of my front bumper (the spoiler part) has some damage and I am thinking of replacing it. Can anyone tell me if this is a separate part from the actual bumper? Should I have to replace the entire bumper?

Anyone have any clue on how much it might cost?
Thanks in advance for any help!
to the best of my knowledge the SE front bumper is all one piece and not like a lip kit... you can do a search online for bumpers.. i did quick and found one here http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sh...ota/camry.html... The SE version is like $175 plus shipping and then of course paint so prolly talkin around $350-$450 when all is said and done

Someone who came to the meet in April had a Hybrid and added the SE lip kit. How? Dont know but they placed it over their OEM bumper. Looks nice but lacked the rubber piece between the bumper and kit and up close inspection, they screwed it in and you can see the bottom curve of the stock bumper
Thanks for posting the diagram...that helps! I was thinking it must be 2 parts because otherwise what is the point of that rubber strip. Now I just need to see if I can find just the front spoiler online. Everywhere I have looked is just one large piece for the bumper (even the SE).
if you want to get it cheap, its going to be used and will have dings on it. Plus, you'll have to get it painted. If you want it like new new, you'll have to buy it from dealers. At least you can get your cars color and not paint it.
It is only minor damage so I may not even end up replacing it, but just want to know my options. Obvious scrapes which I can fix with touch up paint. Main concern is that clip on side broke off. The clip comes attached to the spoiler and clips into the car/bumper. There is an obvious gap which is causing the rubber strip to separate and just hang there. Body shop glued/taped the spoiler for now, but rubber strip will not stay in place. I'm contemplating on using super glue!
I know it is a very minor imperfection, but I am very picky and take very good care of my vehicles. This is the lowest car I've had and I have not done very well with that aspect. Other than that, I love it!!

Not worth the hassle or the money. Just super glue it or find some way. You can replace it and one day, someone smacks into your car or you get into a accident. Yea, insurance company will pay depending how bad it is and sometimes, its not even worth it to get repaired especially if the car is a daily driver.
I tried to baby my car and its 2 weeks from its 1 year bday and I gave up on dings and scratches. I got rock chips from debris on road (especially during winter) on my hood and a paint chip trail on my rear passenger door from stupid cop speeding on should of highway. With that paint chip trail is a small dent from initial impact. Usually bumpers are first to get dinged from poor parking or peoples horrible parking but not mine.
I'll just continue washing it until I get tired of it but when it comes to damages, not worth the money and time. You put money into fixing every little thing and it will continuously happen and you put more money into fixing that. If its not a big deal, i wouldnt even bother fixing it unless it involves your safety or your passengers, the way the car operates or insurance covers it.
You are very right. I've had it for 2 years and 3 months so I guess it's still doing pretty good! I also have a lot of chips in the paint on the hood. I will experiment with the super glue tonight. It definitely won't hurt anything!

FYI, the SE front bumper has some very fragile male attachment point for the spoiler/lip, all those clips shown in the diagram need to attach to the fragile attachment point that are molded on the bumper. If your spoiler/lip was hit on a curb, etc. You will need to replace the bumper too.
The plastic clips are supposed to break, but in reality the mount points on the bumper break off. Yea for industrial strength double sided tape.
if it ain't bad don't touch it. like everyone else said, its not too cheap to replace and you might be just better of getting the scratches fixed and repainting your current one.
