Will changing my Struts/Shocks significantly alter ride? - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

I'm hoping to change the bouncy nature of my car, but wondering what I could do to create a more solid "crashy" feeling car that doesn't try cushion the road and bounce all over the place.

Currently:

TRD Springs
TRD Wheels

Will a change to SE or similar (are they KYB brand?) struts and shocks change the stock LE setup to a completely different ride feel? I want something stiffer and no bouncing up and down.

Struts will help your car handling wise of course. It still stiffen it up. I'd couple that w/ the UR sway bar.

my friend has trd springs and original SE struts and it takes the corners much better than mine and suspension is not overly too hard. i say go for it. if ur down here in jersey any time soon i'm sure you could see for yourself then. i'll be getting se struts and trd springs(with cushions) soon.
