Alternate "fix" to the annoying seat belt chime.

If you're like me, either too cheap, too broke, or simply refuse to give in to the corporate dogs, this may be for you. I just won't pay the dealership to disengage the seatbelt chime. What happened to the days where you can just do it yourself?!

Anyway, this "fix" is only for those that use seatbelts but don't put them on in time, or have a bag of groceries or whatever in the passenger seat. To preform this you need to be at least a little bit mechanicaly inclined and have a philips head screwdriver.

I figured, I'll just find the chime and yank it out. They usually put these somewhere in the dash. That is not the case in 2007 Camry, these "genius" engeneers solder it to the circuit board inside the instrument cluster. So if you can pull it out and take it apart, you can either remove it completely, or do what i did and put a piece electrical tape over the hole in the chime, then a piece of duct tape and another piece of electical.

The whole process takes about 20 minutes. It doesn't completely kill the sound but muffles it enough to where you can't hear it if your radio is on. The seatbelt light will annoyingly flash as well.
