5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
It happened yesterday i was driving to work in the #4 land when 2 cars ahead of me starts to slow down but the stupid driver in front of me saw this and hit his brakes and turned his car sideways so it was half on shoulder and half in the lane, so i have to swerve to miss him, but the car behind me saw the car in front of me stop too so he swerved to. So as i was swirving to mix the stopped car i almost hit the car behind me that tried to swirve around me , so i had to swirve back and in doing so i spun my car around and around and around across all 4 lanes and the exit lane and into the wall on the other side of the freeway. I bent up my bumber scraped it all up but the worse part was i broke my front drivers side axle, my car is in the shop they are suppose to call me today to let me know how bad it is and if i mest up the whole drive train or if this is fixable, and on top of this my car was suppose to be in a show on Sunday this sucks so bad

even with the space inbetween this guy braked all of a sudden from arround 55 or 60 mph and turned his car at an angle almost directly sideways, even if i did slam on my brakes i would of smacked into him i tried to stop in time but i couldnt so i swirved at the last minute, thanks god for abs or i would have t-boned this guy and it would of been worse and no i am fine thank god, im surprised none of my airbags deployed but i still hit the wall hard enough to break my axle
yea i know i am still hesistant to drive on it too. I am leaving like 6 or 7 car leanths between me and the driver ahead of me and trying not to go above 70 or 75 miles an hours and it sucks as i have to drive by where all this happen everyday to go to work and i see my skid marks across the freeway everyday its scary
the verdict is in and what happenis a broken left control arm a bent ball join and a scraped up rotor, along with the fender and liip being all scraped up. so no real frame damage, but they said approx a week in the shop, so no show for me on sunday
that might not even be it but for now it is they said there are going to replace all this then send it out for an alignment test and if it doesnt have a perfectly strait line they they are going to have to replace more parts till its perfect but for now it is just those main 3 parts
yea i just wish i was getting a new bumper and lip out of this but they are just going to sand it out and re spray it so hopefuly it wont look un even where they sand it down
