Taillights!!!!!!

Hey guys I am new to the forum, I have a 03' I4 camry that I have been messing around with since I got a hold of it couple of years ago. Decided to put a 6K HID kit on it, then I swapped the interior lights to a cool blue to match my pioneer radio. Anyway I was thinking of taking apart my tail lights and blacking out the red portions (brake and tail lights) and leaving the clear (turn and reverse lights) alone. Until I saw the 05' and 06' models, they have inverted tail lights which I think look cooler.

Does anyone know if I can swap my old ones for these newer 05' 06' versions, or is this just a waste of my time. I need some input on what some of you think. Feel free to comment.

That said..

Yes you can change the tail lights from Gen 5 to Gen 5.5, if you do get the Gen 5.5 SE tails they're nicer than the LE or XLE.

No need to take them apart to black them out, just tint them with window tint or an overlay.

Thanks dead5, I actually did look and could not find anything on it...lol...I probably suck at searching...going to look again. I was looking into tinting and was thinking if I went with that option I would need one steady hand, but at least I could get it to match the 20% I got going all around the car.

I have also been looking into buying some 6*9's for my FH-800bt pioneer , projectors, and those interior poly urethane coated pieces for the trim. I have an idea in mind. Anyone have any suggestions?

NVM, the 5.5 gen se model tail lights comes blacked out from the factory!! yeahhhh Pretty cheap too online on ebay.

Yeah, they're nice as-is. Don't tint it too dark if you decide to make it darker.. I've seen some cars do that and I can barely tell if they're braking or signaling when the sun is out
