Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Hey all, new to the forum and new to my camry. I just got it a month ago(07 se v6) and I love it. Besides the vvt line rupture at 20k all has been pretty good. Thank god for this site and you all otherwise I would never have even known what the hell a vvt line was or why my 2 week old camry was pissing oil out as fast as I could put it in.
Anyway, here's my question, being more on the performance side, I am stumped on what mod to attempt next. I have a CAI and a Borla axle back exhaust. Readin the forums it looks like rear sway bar, lower the car, coilovers, I don't know what to start on next. My rims are also a tad bent from whoever owned the car before me so that's in the mix as well, just need a starting point from those of you who have all the mods. If you could, put them in order so I can start saving hehe. Thanks for any input

Only you can predict what mod can be done next. Different people, different opinions, different needs, different financials. Its also based on what you can afford.
If you decide to rims, you'll be saving longer. If you get springs or sway bar, you'll be saving quicker. If I was in your shoes, rear sway bar, wheels. coilovers would be the last thing to cross my mind. The roads, driveways and parking lots are horrendous.
Since you're in LI, come to our meets! (July meet is at Rockland Toyota..1hr drive from Queens and in August, we are having a BBQ meet at Cunningham Park)
It all depends on your budget. I'd lower your car first, before anything...as it will look better and good lowered with stock rims.
Then if you can afford to, get 18 or 19" rims with an offset of +35 to +45. Depending on the width 8 or 8.5 is a good width for daily driving.
Then get the rear sway bar.
But it all depends on what you can afford at the time.

like everyone said. start with a drop and go from their. if u can afford them then get coils. if u dont have some nice rims on then do that next. then work on getting the different types of bars that are out there. get leds and hids inbetween unless you want a retro on headlights which you might want to begin with first as it will take a bit and cost a bit.
I have an 08 SE and just dropped it with the stock rims and it looks pretty good i must say... i would recommend doing that first... coils or springs are a preference/money thing.. i dropped on H&R springs
thanks for all the input, im going to have to look into the springs. The coilovers seem to advanced and expensive at this point for me. And doing a little search on here, seems like the rear sway bar seems like something I could handle myself. Thanks again! If i can figure out my sig, I'll post my vehicles progress =)

Coilovers are a better decision in the long run. I had spring and didn't even put them on. Mostly because i got a very good deal on coilovers though. I saved up all winter long and bought parts everywhere i found a good deal. Don't hurry, just shop around for everything and compare prices. Once you find a good deal on something get it and just keep piling up parts. My house was like a storage garage by the time summer came around. Then, in a matter of weeks i put everything on.

if you do springs and a rear sway you can do them both at the same time and save on some time you gotta be under your car
