Good for you, I'm sure it was a lot cheaper than the dealer and probably only took you a few minutes to replace the filter!!!

on a slightly different topic; my 2010 camry (according to the maintenance schedule) needs service every 5K miles.. this is for oil change and check fluids, etc. so i'm assuming this car only needs oil change every 5K miles? i used to change the oil at 3K religiously on my other car, and was gonna do the same on this one.. also, do u guys recommend taking it to the dealer for these scheduled services? thanks

omar

Yep you only need to change the oil every 5k (that's nice isn't it). I personally wouldn't go to the dealer for regular things like oil changes if I could do it myself or if I have a mechanic I trust. Dealer is the biggest rip.

If you car is running smooth, no CEL light, no codes, and you have not noticed an increase in fuel consumption I'd say you don't need the injector service even if it was free at 27K.

Change the cabin filter yourself, cheaper. Did the delaer mention that they detected mold/mildew in the ductwork? The $129 sounds like a duct cleaning to me, a wallet cleaning if not.

+1 on the Techron and do it yourself on the cabin air filter. Any auto parts store will have the filter and Techron.
