If you're going to wind up paying for that, you might check into getting a non-leather SE, and having a local upholstery shop do the work -- it might actually be cheaper. Or not.
Or, what I would recommend, would be to insist upon a "real" Toyota Camry SE with leather. The codes are on Edmunds. Maybe you can get one, or maybe SET won't allow it, so they can screw you over with their own leather.
Bottom line: Do some research. There's got to be a ton of info about what SET is doing, so you can comprehend what they're doing. With a little research, you should be able to know exactly what you want, and exactly what SET is giving you. Make sure you get what you want!

I looked into it myself and I had the salesman look into it for me as well. Here is the scoop:
LAAT: Factory leather with passenger power seat. $1210. (This is the same code that is on Edmunds, KBB, and elsewhere.)
LA80: SET "port installed" leather with LiquiCell (some kind of seat padding), no passenger power seat. $1495. No longer available per the salesman.
LANL70: SET "port installed" leather, no LiquiCell, no passenger power seat. $1595.
LHNL70: SET "port installed" leather (with seat heaters?), no LiquiCell, no passenger power seat. $1795.
The salesman told me that I can order a car with the factory leather package if I want to but it would be delivered sometime in mid to late September at the earliest. I want to take advantage of "Cash For Clunkers" and I don't want to take a chance that the program will run out of funds before a special-order car gets here so I decided to live with SET's leather and with a manual passenger seat. (Some projections have "Cash For Clunkers" running out of money around Labor Day.) Also, I don't want to deal with finding an upholstry shop, etc., etc., etc. Yes, it's a total ripoff but I can handle it.
I did ask about swapping out the manual passenger seat with a power one (not cost effective) and about bringing in an existing car that already has the LAAT leather package (not available in my preferred colors).
Isn't it amazing how government incentives make you do irrational things?
Thanks for replies.
