Clean Brake Rotors and caliper and paint caliper

whats the best way to clean the Brake Rotors and calipers (and later paint calipers)? and is it safe to do it myself?

i read i can use a wire brush, Scotchbrite pads or sandpaper to clean both the rotors and caliper, now is there some spray i can use to stop that crap from building up again?

Some shops have parts washers that they use to clean parts, carbs, etc.. You might be able to get them to wash the calipers before painting them.

Brake cleaner and I had bought from Lowes a fine wire wheel u can put on a cordless drill. It worked real well on the rotors. I painted them right after of course. As far as the calipers, I ordered the G2 epoxy paint kit, so I'll let u know what they give to clean the calipers. Hopefully worth the $35.
