I bought the lighted door sills on eBay and finally had them replaced today. Ufortunatly the shop wired them some how so that all four sill lights are on even when the doors are closed. So im almost 80% sure that the sills are light up even now with the car engin off and the keyless enty alarm activated...

My question is, will this drain my battery and eventually cause it to die?? I noticed the check engine light came on while i was driving home. I cant go back to the shop until next sunday ( one week from now) because sundays are the only free time i have.

It suck because i asked the to wire the sills to the courtesy lights and the domelight.

those lights shouldnt cause the check engine light to come on.

I wouldnt have left without fully checking the job, cuz waiting a week is a long time with an issue like that. Hopefully you get it fixed free of charge.

Find out what the check engine light code is.

The shop should have been easily able to just tap it into the door wire. I installed the ebay door sills myself and just tapped both the front and rear door sils to their respective side's door wire. They probably just went to a random constant 12v source for the light.
