03 Camry Check Engine Light & Diagnostic Codes

Hi,

I just bought a 2003 Camry xle with about 80800 miles over a week ago. The check engine light came on the next morning I bought it and here're the codes:

P0441 Evaporative Emission System Incorrect Purge Flow

P0442 Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (small leak)

P0446 Evaporative Emission System Vent Control Circuit

I also see blueish/whiteish smoke coming out of the pipe during morning cold start and it goes on for about 2 seconds. I don't see it during the day even though I park it for 8 hours in the garage at work.

Toyota dealer I called said the smoke and check engine light maybe related and said the smoke is due to a worn valve inside the engine and threw a high number: $1200 for fixing that alone.

Should I believe what he said? The car seems to drive normally right now, well, except the clicking noise I hear when I turn. From what I read, that maybe a shaft issue.

Thanks!

Thanks XxTrD_ToYoTaxX!

Do you think it's worthwhile trying Auto-RX or something similar to treat the valve seals rather than spending tons of money on an engine job? Or I can just live with it since it's only one puff every morning? Should the codes be treated? The machenic at the dealership I bought the car from said the codes are not major. It's just plain frustrating seeing the smoke and check engine light every day considering the amount of money I spent on this car.

The clicking/knocking noise is another annoyance. It clicks when I turn AND when I drive straight. Although turning makes it louder. Should this be addressed asap?

Thanks a bunch!
