Hello. I have a problem, in my gen 6 camry my shifter is bent. I don't know how it happened, but I just noticed this recently, like 3 weeks or so. I don't do anything drastic with my car like pretending I'm a street racer with a manual. I went to the dealership, but he says its not a defect and its due to damage. I don't see any marks showing damage around the shifter. I can shift fine, but its ugly. oh I did a search, but didn't see anything specifically on this topic.

they're all like that. If it was straight and not bent it would be harder for the driver to reach.

Looks like someone accidentally kneed it from the passengers side. Or it could have come bent from the factory. Unfortunately there is no way you could prove that unless you took a picture and brought the car back as soon as you bought it.

I see since its normal I guess I have nothing to worry about. Thanks for all the replies in such a quick manner. My dealership must not really know their cars since they thought it was damaged lol.
