Gen6 How to turn off TCS/VCS?

Please help.... Does anyone know how to turn off the TCS on the 07 Camry SE with the MANUAL transmission? None of the directions I have seen where you need to press the brake and emergency brake etc, etc, worked. I'm guessing because one of the steps was to make sure the car was in park. I can't even find a fuse to pull out and disable it. Not having a button to turn TCS on, or off, is complete bullshit and low budget. Let's make a car that's fun to drive except for when your driving it.

1. Make sure the car is in Park and the parking brake is disengaged before you start the car.
2. Start the engine.
3. Engage the parking brake.
4. Fully depress the brake pedal and then release.
5. Fully depress the brake pedal and then release.
6. Disengage the parking brake.
7. Fully depress and hold down the brake pedal.
8. Engage the parking brake, then disengage it(while holding down the brake pedal).
9. Engage the parking brake, then disengage it(while holding down the brake pedal).
10. Release the brake pedal.
11. Engage the parking brake.
12. Fully depress the brake pedal and then release.
13. Fully depress the brake pedal and then release.

When "Check VSC" is displayed in the multifunction display along with the "Trac-off" icon indicator, you'll know that you have successfully completed the procedure.

I see no reason that method should not work it was designed for mechs to test the system. If it does not work for a manual because of the park item, may need in a gear or such. Go to dealer and get a tech to show you how to turn it off. You have to be able to disable it if you live in the snow belt. Lucky for me I have a 2010 and it has a button to turn off tc and even vsc. An turn it back on as well.

I cannot believe Toyota sold a car without a switch. Snow belt you have to be able to turn it off. I to live in a heavy snow area. Just last winter a work mate an I was leaving work. Was about 4" of wet snow on the ground with some ice under it. I was parked next to him, and got in and started to just drive away (not my Camry). He bogged right down and could not move. When I went back to help him I noticed his car was beeping when he tried to go. When I asked about traction control he said yes (a new car). Suggested he turn it of. Was a Ford btw. As soon as he did he drove right out of that lot without a problem. So you do not even have to be trying to rock a car for it to activate just some heavy snow on ice and it will bog you down.

Big -2 to Toyota selling a car without a disabling feature in the Snowbelt.

Good luck and happy driving.
