5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Problem:
2006 SE Camry JBL Single disc CD player is crapping out on me. Only way i can the Cd will work is to insert the cd in and don't touch it. When i change to a different track the cd player will freeze.
Anyone with similar problems? If so any solutions?
I'm tight on money so i would love to keep the factory head unit as long as possible. I have been driving just listing to the radio for the pass week and i'm sick of the main stream music.
Comments are welcome, thanks in advance
Samson

does sound like it is crapping out, but you are in luck. I have my stock single disc JBL SE headunit that I do not use anymore that I am willing to sell if you need to come to that. just let me know.

You could always go with a lower end after market deck. You could find used ones for cheap but then you'll need a dash kit and im not sure how much harder the jbl system is going to make it.
Just a thought
everyone, thank you for all the comments, i will try to take out my headunit this weekend and see wsup. Hopefully I can fix it, if not then i will take MrSo0h0o on his offer. One reason why i wanted to keep the factory head unit is because of the damn controls on the steering wheel!
