Different Seat Belt Question

I am new first of all and would like to say hello. With the purchase of my 2010 SE yesterday I am very happy except for the seat belt buzzer. I would like to know how to disable it. I have seen a few threads with the odo push and key on and off nonsense. Does this work first of all or do people end up taking it to the dealer anyways and second if I dont have a key, I have the proximity keys how can I turn the buzzer off from home and not have to make a trip to the dealer. Especially seeing as how it is Sunday now. Thanks for the help.

i believe the only way to do this on the gen6 or 6.5 is to take it to the dealer. I took it their and the only one they will turn off is the passenger side due to federal law. I dont even know how long it took them cause it was done along with the regular mantinance

there is no federal law for any buzzer....

again, again, again, again AND again.....the only way to take it off is to have the service dept. do it. once they do it, and you for any reason disconnect your battery, the ECU will reset, and so will the function that they changed for the seat belt buzzer.

someone please close this thread. there are 3,267 similar threads regarding this issue that have the same end result.

Wear your seat belt, it's good for you (and me). We need all the productive taxpayer we can get to pay for the 'stimulus package'.
