Question A Proverbial Leaking Problem

While I'm contemplating my timing belt replacement, here's another problem -- a "wet" one.
In short:
Car: Camry 2002 XLE v6. . Bought used 3 weeks ago. No leaks. A week ago found a leak. Local shop replaced the steering pump ($470). Next day found another leak. Same shop said valve cover gaskets. Replaced the whole set ($250). A day later still leaking - at the same spot. How could this be happening? Is it so difficult to fix -- or are they incompetent -- or are they messing with me? The shop has A rating from BBB, btw and has been in business since 1987.

Funny thing: when I was waiting for the gasket replacement (took 2.5 hours) I occasionally looked into the bay where my car was. All I could see was my car sitting there with the hood open and no one around. I just wonder if those gaskets were intelligent and were supposed to replace themselves.

Why make another thread????????
You didn't even say what it's leaking.

Post this question on your other thread.

Why would I post it in my first thread? This thread is on a completely different topic. If you had read it you'd have noticed I mentioned a power steering pump that was replaced, and the valve cover gaskets. According to the shop, they were leaking. Now I don't know what the heck is leaking.
I'm just checking if someone here can relate to this.

You should have posted it in the other one because it creates clutter.

You still didn't say what's leaking. Is it power steering fluid again, oil, coolant?

well... We don't know whats leaking. You provided almost no info that can help us, help you.

IMO, if the leak wasn't fixed. Go back to your local shop and tell them to fix it. Don't pay a single cent btw, since its their fault for not diagnosing the problem correctly. Hope it all works out.

It might help if you can take a picture and/or explain where the leak is, the color of the fluid, etc. But even if you do provide this, it is very difficult to know what exactly is leaking without seeing the car in person. Take it to a different shop just to get an second opinion about what is going on.
