Gen6 anyone with coils around SGV?

I'm just wondering if there's anyone that lives around the SGV area and that has Megan Coil or any other Coils on their Gen6... I really want to know how coils rides on our gen6... I keep thinking about changing the springs to Coils... but i don't want too harsh ride... i have H&R on stock LE springs right now... and feels too bouncy... So please help me out by showing how the coils ride...

Let's just say it has nothing to do with comfort. But it handles like a beast.

It goes for every car. Now if it will be bouncy or a rough ride, it all depends on how you set them. For example, mine are 32 way adjustable. I have the front at 23 it's a little stiff but when i turn the wheel it snaps with no body roll. The back i have at 18 because i don't have people in the back often and it's a lot lighter then the front. I like the way it drives. But as i said, comfort is still out of the question.

haha fronts at 23!?!?!? is your gut made out of a solid piece of metal? I use to ride on 24 and it was so harsh, actually that was the default on my coils.

now i ride on 10's and they are okay, not bouncy, but stiff enough where my gut doesn't hurt.

I seriously and sincerely hope your coils don't blow with your settings.

anyway, not to side track for me... but --- heh

Lately in Santa Clara, they've been fixing montague exp way and it's f-ing up my undercarriage. and I have a 2 finger height gap.

dunno how people ride so low without scraping their wheels and tires, but I had to cut my rear fenders -- I might get smaller tires next time around though.

-- as far as the thread goes with coils, since all coils should be adjustable, if you want it -- buy it and adjust for it. Just make sure you get the coils you want.

if I went with Ksport for my car, I know i wouldn't be happy with the reviews I've seen. these BCs have been the best 1k i've spent my money on.

they're near full stiff, if not at full stiff. some buy the coils mainly to prevent that scraping you mentioned. some buy it for better handling. some buy it for a mix of the two.

if you're looking to maintain a certain degree of comfort look in to the TEIN CO's made for the gen 6.

Scroll down the list and check out the gen 6 CO spring rates. A bit pricey but you'll know what you'll get with tein.

I stiffened up the front because every time i hit a bump they would bottom out. So i made them stiffer. But after i take my rims off i'm gonna play with them a little more, so i can set up the springs correctly too. Messing with the stiffness is not enough.

yeah the stiffness isn't going to stop you from bottoming out. If you hit a bump, it'll feel like you ran over bricks.
